MISSION

• Based on the universal principles of fundamental sciences and the concept of the Humanitas, the mission of our faculty is ‘quare verum / to search for the truth'. In this respect, our aim is to carry out scientific production and educational activities at the international level based on the principle of 'rerum causas cognoscere / know the causes of things' in terms of both fundamental and social sciences.

VISION

• Our faculty aims to train our students as individuals who understand the conditions of success in the future as well as in today’s world. Our goal is to be a sensitive, relevant, and internationally acknowledged faculty that engages in research activities, produces knowledge and transforms that knowledge into a scientific benefit. Our goal is also to raise our youth, the future of our nation, as individuals who adopt contemporary values of our secular and democratic Republic, being adhered to Atatürk's Principles and Reforms, principled, self-confident, and acting in cooperation with the social environment, and to equip them with contemporary knowledge.

  By taking Atatürk’s principles and reforms as a guide, our faculty’s vision is to apply them to Turkish social life by using the fields of fundamental and social sciences with determination. Based on the universal principles of fundamental sciences, our vision is to ensure that the academic staff and students of the faculty have an international awareness and tendency.

Sharing Akdeniz University's vision of "educating individuals who shape the future with universal research, pioneer in science and technology, research-oriented, creative, sensitive to ethical principles and lifelong learners", Akdeniz University Faculty of Letters respects the universal values related to higher education, academic autonomy, academic, administrative staff and student rights as the basis of its quality policy.

Our faculty has adopted the principle of increasing the quality of education and training by using communication technologies, continuous improvement, providing faster service to staff and students, increasing the satisfaction of those who benefit from the service, serving humanity with sustainable projects in the field of Social Contribution, and has set the primary goal of gaining national and international recognition and prestige by fulfilling the requirements of the 'Quality Management System'.
